Default the new guy

just wanted to say hello. i'm a new to using a forum and dont even own a diesel yet. i was given this site from a friend. now here is a little story about me. i sold my gasser pick up(03 gmc ext cb) to go back to school and went and got married before graduating. now i'm graduated and driving a car and just cant stand it(03 grand prix se). however this time around its going to be diesel(crew cab). i am torn on which one to get, its main purpose will be plowing and daily driver and eventualy do some hauling(bobcat,fithwheel,ect...). i love the 7.3 and the body its incased in but dont want to have to work on it. the duramax is great but i here the allison is not the best for quick reverse. the cummins is legendary but not big on the interior and looks and dont know in depth about any of them.

For plowing Ford has been the best I ever used. I hated plowing with the chevy, the front end stinks for supporting a plow. I dont see a stock dodge auto really holding up to plowing though.

Your welcome, I've plowed with Ford and Chevy and the Ford plowed the best. Problems we had with the Ford's though were glow plugs and not wanting to start in really cold conditions. I broke the Chevy at least once a day. Front end could not support the plows we used. They were Blizard plows by the way.
