New guy, really like the 6.0 Powerstroke. Have an 05 F250 crew 4x4 with EGR delete, SCT tuner and head studs, evidently the head gaskets blew on the previous owner. Truck runs excellent and gets 18mpg on "street" tune, I think that's the 2nd hottest? Tuner has 4 levels, a 50hp and 65hp tow tune, street and performance tunes. Performance tune is too much and the accelerator pedal is super sensitive, belches a lot of black smoke and seems to be rough on the truck, so I run it on the performance tune. Any recommendations on what I can do to be able to hear the turbo? I also have an 03 6.0 with EGR delete, up pipe delete and is whistles just the way I like it to, the 05 is pretty much silent. Welcome to diesel Bombers I would run some new exhaust pipe back maybe 4" or 5" would be nice.
At least your truck is pre all the EPA diesel particle filter junk.
