Default Jeep Liberty CRD in FL

Hello,

New to this forum but not new to diesels.

I live near Jacksonville FL.

My 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD has about 165,000 miles.
Recently replaced cylinder head (cracked).
Having some fueling issues, so was hoping to find some assistance here.

Thanks

Dave

Well, I finally got my P0193 code resolved.
Tried updating the thread I started in the Diesel Distress section but it had been closed already.

After replacing the rail pressure sensor and MPROP with no success, I started digging through some Duramax forums because the Dmax uses the same pressure sensor as my CRD.
Turn out that my problem was rail pressure sensor connector.
With the engine idling, I could wiggle that sensor connector and make the engine stumble, sputter, and die.
Apparently this is a common problem with the Dmax.

So I got a new connector from the chevy dealer and wired it in along with a AutoMeter fuel rail pressure gauge.
Engine is running great and the new gauge works good.

Hopefully the rail pressure gauge will help with diagnosing any future rail pressure problems.

And because this forum is dedicated to modified diesel engines, here are some of my mods:
Muffler removed
EGR removed and blanked off.
Custom made intake elbow (part of the EGR removal process)
Crankcase vent to atmosphere (will probably install a Provent in the future)
Engine driven fan removed, using electrical fan only
Modified 195 deg thermostat (factory t-stat is 175 deg and inside a sealed housing)
ARP head studs
Custom ECU tune, created by some guy in Italy. More boost. More power. And a big puff of black smoke when accelerating from a dead stop. Sorry, no dyno numbers yet.
