Default Well hello fellow Diesel lovers

Hi, my name is Joey.
I live in Canada, and I'm a full time student with two jobs.
My truck is an 06 f350 Amarillo, and it was defs a challenge to obtain (if you want to hear the story post a reply).
But now that I have it, I love it. My truck is my daily driver and it has replaced my 94 t-bird (trying to sell it). When I got the truck, it was almost bone stock and I have been adding mods to it, and getting it fixed up and hopefully it will last me quite a few years. It has a 4" straight pipe exhaust, EGR delete, H&S mini maxx and an SCT (im selling the H&S to a buddy, and getting the SCT ready for the truck). I have recently ordered the FICM tuner from ID also which is in the mail. The truck is in the shop right now getting a paint touch-up, but once I have it back I'll be putting chrome rockers on, chrome bug shield, and chrome rain guard. Also getting torsion bars installed soon, and I'm thinking of getting new suspension and lift kit. (If anyone has any opinions on certain suspension/lift kit related topics I'd love to hear).
Now onto a touchy subject... rollin coal.
I think black smoke is cool from time to time, but not ALL the time. I'm getting rid of the mini maxx cause it doesn't blow smoke on any setting. I got some custom tunes from ID for my SCT (economy, Xrace, Xstreet, Xsmoke) and they said if I want to roll coal with stock turbo and injectors I should try either the FICM tuner, or throw in a smoke switch. I am going for the FICM tuner right now, and am quite excited to try it.
I'm new to the diesel scene, but I would like to get my truck up to being a reliable daily driver, but could also be a race/pulling truck when needed or in the future. I know black smoke sometimes equals power, and sometimes equals no power. Right now I'm trying to get my truck to be a high mpg daily driver, that I can occasionally go out with my buddies and go mudding or screwing around and rollin coal. If anyone has any tips, again, would love to hear them
Enough of my truck. I'm a student that has no idea what he wants to do with his life. I'm trying to get a bachelor of science with a general science degree, but I have no idea what I want to do with it. School used to interest me, but now it doesn't. I'm mostly just finishing school so I have something under my belt. I also recently completed my class one driving training and have my full class one license. I think after school I'll go and try and do something with that for a while.

Yes its fun to roll coal, but here is my advice. First! double shot injectors hate soot, two 6.0L hate extra heat. It will roll some coal, but its not gonna put it out like a coal train I preffer to just deafen who ever has pissed me off...

Ya, my truck is pretty loud as is. I love going through tunnels or overpasses and just floorin it, sounds sooo sick =D
Also I have a pyrometer and all my buddies say my truck stays pretty cool compared to threre's, so I wasn't too worried about the overheating.
What are double shot injectors?

Double shot injectors fire off twice instead of a single full fuel shot. That's what make the newer diesel more quiet.
