Excited to finally join up !
Hello,
My name is Jacob, and I have been a truck enthusiast for as long as I can remember. First off i would like to give a big thank you to all reading this. This forum and ones like it have been invaluable on many occasions and I have enjoyed the great wealth of knowledge that all of you openly share. I live in a rural farming community in northern California. I grew up on a 68 dodge d200 with a straight 6 and a 3 speed. when I came into my teens I swapped a 440 and 727 torque flight out of a 70 Monaco into it and had a lot of fun. I drove that until gas got to pricey to spend 40 bucks a day on a short commute.
I came into the diesel world because I love the idea of a completely mechanical engine that still gets manageable mileage and a great deal of power. I do enjoy learning about the technilogical leaps and bounds the world of diesel has gone in a realitively short time, but I am lost in the realm of computers.
My daily driver is a 1994 dodge 2500 slt 12 valve cummins 4x4 5 speed reg cab flatbed 200,xxx. I bought her for a great deal from a local guy, unfortunately it was rode hard and put to bed wet. so a lot of my elbow grease has been cosmetic and comfort wise. Power train only basics done 4 inch exhaust, custom intake. it runs awesome couldn't be happier i will try to upload pics soon.
