Hey peeps, just picked up my 1st diesel sunday an 06 megacab so 5.9L common rail I believe from joining the cummins forum

looking to learn what I can, I have a very modest mod plan but will be looking at having fun the entire way! can't wait to mod it out and roll some coal! any free mods I need to consider/do feel free to let me know. I'm currently looking at a muffler and cat delete and a few cheap/free mods to help with the A/C as it sucks rediculously in the megacabs...

also will be looking at getting a budget chip/programmer in the near future, power puck or edge ez come to mind but if I can get an edge attitude with monitor for cheap I'd go that route instead. but that's probably after I fix my down titan LOL. thrown some pix up for the helluv it truck is level'd with some generic M/T tires, truck has an exhaust brake and is 6spd standard, laramie so a lot of power stuff and a fricken push button 4wd :mad:

soon as I got it home from the dealership, and I mean AS SOON (no food or bathroom nada) I pulled the grill gaurd and fender liners to dechrome it a little...



thinking I'll do the silencer removal too so the turbo spooling can be heard LOL. my buddy did that on his 5.9L and I dig being able to hear it.

Definantly remove the silencer ring . Sounds so much better with the turbo spool.

 

Yeah, I pulled the ring but haven't gutted the torque tube, I've been looking for a piece of pipe 5 1/4" OD x 8"L but haven't had much luck. I also want an intake if I find a cheap one. Will definitely be getting a TBE as well and programmer with EGT and monitor like edge juice with attitude are on my list. 6" lift and not sure what else oh stereo is in progress right now as well. But I have the stupid infinity system so I ordered the PAC interface that keeps use of the infinity amp until I get a bigger amp and better mids n highs. Sub box is gonna be a pair of boxes behind back seat I pulled the tool box thing and will downfire a pair of 10"s I have mtx terminators but want DC level 3s
