I happened upon your forum while trying educate myself on some of the reoccurring issues I hear about the EGR in the 6.0L Powerstokes. Been keenly interested in this topic since my grandson's 2006 had a meltdown the apparently was related to the EGR (if I understand it correctly). Deleting the EGR was one modification he had not made on his truck and that seems to be one of the first modifications your site recommends.

I also have a 2006 F350 6.0 Powerstoke turbo in the King Ranch model. Wife and I use it for hauling our 34 ft Airstream or just cruising country back roads here in Colorado. The grandson is always trying to convince me to add stuff to my truck but have been hesitant to add anything I did not understand just for the sake of more power. After reading your forum I am beginning maybe he was not too far off the mark. If only he had removed that EGR....

My truck is stock as far as I know. There is a sticker on the fan shroud that indicates a factory authorized modification but I will save that for the Tech questions page. We had the EGR cooler and oil cooler replaced when they blew just before the warranty ran out. (whew! that was close). So I will be keeping my eye on this forum to learn as much as I can to ensure this F350 has a long and strong life.
