Always loved diesel trucks, and now finally have the opportunity to get one.

Id like to get some opinions on a
2006 Ford F_350
6.0l powerstroke
Drw 4x4 Crew cab

Let me know if this is a wise pick or the better alternatives as far as Cummins or duramax.

 

 

Please don't take offense to what i'm goona say, but run from a 6.0L.
Of all the diesels ford put in their trucks, the 6.0L has the worst reputation as far as reliability.
If you want the truck get a look at the recalls on the truck, and check into it's past maintenance history.
As far as other diesels, the 5.9 cummins has earned a lot of respect for it's reliability. I really like mine.
As far as other ford diesels, the 7.3 is a great motor. The 6.4,and 6.7L's I don't know to much about. But from the people I've talked to they say once the deletes are done,their great motors.
As far as duramaxes, i'm not sure about them, but from the people I've talked to says their good motor.
