Default 4 cylinder cummins or 4 cyilnder perkins???

I am wanting to drop a 4 cylinder diesel in my 2001 s10. But i cannot decide which one to go with! i hear good things about both.. the perkins is a good engine but i know the 4bt comes stock with about 30-40 more horse. What do you think guys???
