Default New guy from KY

Hey guys and gals,

I'm Hurst from Kentucky. I just wanted to introduce myself. I just got an 08 f450 and am looking to do some mods for mileage and reliability, and who's kidding, some extra power too! I figured this might be a good place to start looking for information.

I'm from Woodford County, but I'm currently in Alberta, Canada for the winter doing work in the oil fields... but I am back in KY all the time when I'm off. I'm about 35 minutes from Thoroughbred diesel west on I64 if you ever make it up my way.

I make it over to Georgetown quite a bit when I am home (a lot of the time they have the cheapest fuel around too!). When I'm home, it's hard for me not to make a trip to Bevins or Giles to get equipment parts. Woodford and Scott Co. definitely are hot beds for diesel trucks in Central KY

I think once you get started on tractors at that age, diesel-powered anything is in your blood! I started out riding tractors with my Dad on the farm when I was just old enough to pee straight and was driving them by the time I was 9 or 10. After that, I was hooked! It's amazing how addictive diesel can be
