Here's the only one I have on this computer right now.

Need to get rid of the DPF and get it tuned so I can get a little better mileage... I'll have to fill out the specs in my signature. It's an 08 F450 Lariat 6.4 auto with 4.88s in the rear end. It has 285 70r19.5s on the stock rims, which are way too wide for that rim, probably going to get 245-70r19.5 all terrain tires for it this spring or winter.

I just gotta figure out what tuner to get to delete the DPF and turn off the EGR so I can see mid double digit mileage instead of fighting to break the single digits

 

damn, thats bad if your not seeing double digits! my 03 6.0 gets about 14 city and my 01 cummins gets about 18 city.

gotta work on that man! as for tuners, id have no clue with a 6.4.. i hear H&S mini maxx is good on them, but goodluck finding one anymore... they stopped production because of the EPA

It's at least hands down the best tuner i've ever put on a Ford...

 

Yeah, it is between that and H&S minimaxx, but I'm kind of leaning towards the livewire with custom tunes. Shift on the fly isn't a huge deal, and it seems the custom tunes are probably going to be slightly more reliable for towing (H&S doesn't have a specific towing tune). I know I'm going to have to act soon before the EPA kills everything though

 

Can the EPA kill a product that is has a "Off-Road Use Only" warning on the specific dirty tunes ?

 

h&s already stopped production. you cant order from their website. youll have to buy used from someone, but if they know about the production stoppage, they will jack the price up sky high id imagine... also they wont be updating the software anymore.

and yes the epa has killed H&S as of right now.. theres a thread about it or you can go to their website and see it for yourself

SCT makes great tunes also. havent done much reading on the 6.4's, but if its anything like they are on the 6.0's then i wouldnt be afraid to use it with the proper emissions deletes and upgrades

 

Yeah, they just got H&S to stop producing their off road products. SCT and superchips were cracked down on earlier this year. I don't agree with it, as the end user should have the responsibility to use the product properly. That'd be like telling Louisville Slugger they can't make bats any more because people were beat with them... They didn't make the bat with the sole capability of hurting someone, they provided them for sport.
