Hi all, new member from Illinois.

I'm very new to diesels but I've been around the performance gas/car world for around 15 years. I decided I wanted more room than my G8 had, but I didn't want to take the big hit on fuel economy that the crew cab gasser trucks had, so I found an '08 Duramax with the options I wanted and picked it up at a dealership in Florida.

When I arrived at the dealership I found out the truck had a lot of modifications that the dealership probably had no clue about what they were. I looked it over, listened to it, and drove it hard for 30-45 minutes before I decided it was pretty sound. Sound enough to make the drive home, and so far it is. I've had a local Diesel Performance shop look it over and list out some of what is done, but I'm still trying to get in touch with the previous owner to get an actual list.

This thing is WAY more than what I was looking for, but I'm not complaining (as long as it doesn't blow up).
