Default New to Deiesel World in Tampa

Hey Guys ! New to the Diesil world with a 2008 Ford F-250 6.4 here. Has 147k Miles.

Looking for a little help in understanding Diesil!! i know gas motors like the back of my hand as i restore classic cars !

From what i can tell they did a DPF delete on this truck but no programmer so i am getting a code on the dash. I would like som opinions on what programmers work best for theese trucks for a dpf and egr delete. I do not neccisarily want to physially remove the egr system just turn it off.

I will be using the truck as a daily driver so i do not need mads amount of power just good gas milage( as good as it can be i guess) and the lease amount of problems from the truck.

Also any good source for tires and rims inexpensivly. Want to throw 35X12.50X18 on them. I was told you cannot fit that tire on the stock rim. I will be selling the stock rims and tires once i put the New tires and rims on.
that is all , for now.... i think . ... hopefully n ot though !!

You can ask a vendor like diesel dawg for example and he'd be able to let you know what programmer you will need to turn off the check engine light. As for the egr,you can't turn it off,but you can block it off. Diesel dawg can help you with that question to.

All you need is an XRT Pro. If the DPF is still there then u just need either a full exhaust or just a DPF delete pipe.
