Default New Member and the Warranty is GONE!!

Time to make changes! Thought I'd introduce myself as I will be asking a lot of questions! Warranty just ended on my 2006 6.0 PSD. Current mods are in my signature. I'm looking for longivety out of this truck, so next I am leaning towards and EGR delete. Been reading up about it and still have a lot to learn before I do it, but it seems like the next logical step!

Thanks for having me!

Your next mod should be a coolant filter for that rig. Then, get into the egr delete, and so on..........

OK, now see, you've got me doing more research now! First i've heard of this. I'm an EGR dummy, the diesels I worked on in the CG had ZERO emmisions. All this EGR stuff is new science to me. Please explain!

Or this one from XDP I think I like the look of better and the Napa filter. Good piece of mind for $125!!: XDP 6.0L Coolant Filtration System

You got me on a tear. Found a coupon code for the XDP kit and just ordered it.

Maybe not. Cant find Delo ELC-1 Coolant or Restore anywhere in my area. Are there any substitutes? I want to do a complete flush this weekend.

I believe any Ford dealer carries it. Also, Caterpillar CAT- ELC will work, as well as Fleetrite Coolant. An International Harvester dealer will also have it, if theres on in your area. Other than that, Im drawing a blank....sorry.

do you have an edge insight or sccanguage? I only ask because if your oil cooler isnt plugged I wouldnt chemical flush it unless you plan on replacing the oil cooler when you do the egr delete. There is always a possibility you will clog the oil cooler if you do the restore, restore plus flush

Neither. So I should wait to flush and do oil cooler and egr delete at same time? 118k miles now.
