Question Proud of my Truck

I have a 2005 Dodge Cummins SLT 2500 4x4 6 Speed Tranny. Just hit 157K I won an Edge Chip w/Att. had it installed about a year and a half ago its also got a back up cam attached and a towing kit. I'm looking into purchasing a 98 cummins and doing lots of modification to it. I'm very new to the idea of changing things in a truck for higher performance or simply better cosmetics. So I've been going through website after website trying to decide whats good and whats not. I don't know a whole ton about trucks and what makes one better than the next but I'm a dodge lover, I don't hate on other peoples trucks but I'll never own anything thats not made by dodge. Although there may be one exception to that, and that would be owning a fully restored HI-Boy. All the modifications I do on my truck I want to do myself and if I cant then I guess I'll just have to live without. I dont plan to modify any of the things inside the engine.

With a cummins you wont need to open p your motor, maybe for studs and rings yes, but nothing else...

Good luck on your quest...

Guy's Thanks for the good luck wishes!! The 98 I wont to create is gonna be midnight blue tinted halo's with a bush guard. Black 4" angle cut 36" stacks which I still haven't completely figured out. I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to put the Y pipe under the bed of the truck instead of it sitting inside it. But if not I'm just gonna have a custom made tool box so the y pipe can't be seen. The trucks gonna have black rhino line, with a 6" lift. Haven't thought to much on what I want on the inside yet but I'm sure what ever I come up with it'll be awesome. I know that I want custom upholstery on all the seats and a great system.
