So who has fixed theirs and who has yet to fix it...



Only applies to 12v and some 24v

i haven't fixed mine yet.... i'm waiting till i get the head done and the timing advanced....

i know i know i'm riding on borrowed time.....

i thought 12v dont have that problem, or was it a certian year of 12v that has that too?

All 12V (First and second gens) suffer from this problem and many 24V's as well. On the 24v's - some have the upgraded timing cover with the step that prevents the dowel pin from backing out and some do not. Check out post #14 here: https://www.dieselbombers.com/24-val...-question.html

that's something like the GM pump rub fix, i still gotta fix mine, i got the part but no help.

It is one of the mods that people dont know about until it happened to them, But the kdp mine get ya or not

Yeah, you never know when its going to hit. Mine had backed out 1/8" or so. Sure is an $$ fix if you dont catch it.

i didnt know 24v have this problem i thought it was only the 12v. which year of the 24v had the problems???
