does it have a mechanical lift pump it it could be fuel oil leaking from the pump

If you are losing hydraulic oil and it's not going on the ground it will be in the chain case. The seals will leak on the drive motors and you won't notice it, the case holds several gallons. Pull the plug out of the front of the chain case and see where the oil level is at.
