I'm running an oversized bucket and that tends to add extra stress to the mount.
I had been scooping snow for 6+ hours and only had about 30 minutes left when I started to go a little to fast for conditions.......because I was SICK OF IT at that point in time. My Bad The pins were only $30 each and about 1 hour to R&R with a beer or two.

What breed of machine is it? I used to break them all the time in the 863 bobcats. Always carried extra pins with me. The s-220's haven't broke any yet but I'm not pushing them very hard.

I see bobcat on the page.
The 700 series has a wedge pin with a bolt in the end. Once the bolt is out you push the pin back in the bobtach and swing it out to pull the pin. Have a long bolt to reach in and pull the pin back out to install.
On the 863 type machine it ought to come right out. They have a thread in the end where the grease zert is to get ahold of the pin to get it in the right spot.
Both series of these machines break them fairly easy.
I've hit curbs like you did and it hurts. I hit the windshield so hard I ruptured my number 6 disk in my neck. 7 mph ain't fast till you stop suddenly!

 

The old tapered pin was threaded at the tapered end. Crappy design.
The new pin is threaded only down in the non tapered section. New and Improved.
You are correct about the longer bolt trick. It worked great. I couldn't get the pin to move at first because of the pin pocket being full of grease. I removed the zerk fitting and that released the back pressure.

 

Be sure and check it for tightness several times. If the taper has any wear it will work loose pretty quick.
