Bobcat bucket pivot pin broke
 

I snapped the right side pin for the bucket pivot point on a skidsteer. How in the heck do you get that apart???????

I pulled the two bolts out but I couldn't get anything else to budge.

Must still be in a bind, or it's corroded in. Try using a little heat and some penetrating oil.

I just talked with the Bobcat dealer and he said that I needed to remove the grease zerk or it would never budge. I guess I was fighting the packed grease. Thats why they won't pound in.:argh:
I guess you learn something every day.

At least you were smart enough to call the dealer and ask. I've seen many people in my day who would have just gotten a bigger hammer and drift and started whackin' away at it. :pca1:

How did you break the pivot pin?

get a 12" long x1" diameter bar stock and weld a few foor of handle off to the side, heate the stuck pin with rosebud then have yer buddy hold the drift handle then wack the sucker with a 20# doublejack.........dont heat the pin but heat the frame around the pin

I was pushing back snow piles at a condo complex and nailed a concrete curb. :ouch:
I was happy that I didn't stick my head thru the window on the cab door.

Wow that must have hurt. I have hit somethings hard but have never broke a pivot pin before.
