I have a perkins A6 354, direct injection, CAV DPA injection pump. Question? Can I install a electric fuel pump? Do I have to worry about the input pressure as I do on my cummins? it is in a Massey Fergurson Track hoe MF 450S, any help would be greatly welcomed.

I would call a diesel shop and ask them what transfer/supply pressure you should have for that injection system. From there, buy an electric pump that meets the required flow and pressure. We have an electric pump on our Deutz packer, and it used to have a mechanical on it.
