Default Which motor?
I am buying a GMC 2500, and I am wanting to determine which motor it has in it. Is this something I can do strictly by looking at the VIN? It is a 2004.

Yup, 8th digit in vin will tell you what motor.

if you cant get the vin look for the injectors. if you can see them its a LLY. if you cant its a LB7

I found it, it's the lly. Thanks for the help guys.
By the way, I just ordered the AFE turbo mouth piece, and the resonator cap for it through alligatorperformance.com
