Went Dead Won't Start!!!!!HELP

So I was driving my 1991 Chevy Step Van and it felt like I was running out of gas. Then I turned the corner and it did it again except this time my truck went dead. The gas was low so I thought I ran out, after putting 1/2 a tank in and 2 hours of starting and trying to crank it I gave up. It jus cranks after the glow plug light goes off but won't fire up. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Oh yeah I power washed the inside of the cab today also.......
