My Truck has been cutting out and sputtering from stop lights, it blows out alot of black smoke clears out and the takes off. I changed the mass airflow sensor and the fuel filter it keeps happening, does anybody know what causes this to happen?

Kind of sounds like what mine did. Take off from a stop light, no power, black smoke, then it would take off like nothing was wrong. The EGR valve was the culprit on that one, but that's an expensive guess on your's without some more information.

Do you have any mods? Check Engine Light? Any other symptoms while driving?

I had the codes pulled up they were the mass airflow sensor and the EGR. Engine light comes on sometimes but has been off for a few days. The truck will do it sometimes when the motor has been shut off as well.
I replaced the mass airflow sensor Looks like the EGR is next. (Sounds like Thats the culprit)!
Is it a difficult job to do? Or should I have a Mechanic do it?

 

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust or cat delete on it? That will mess with the MAF and EGR functions.
