Default Front End Issues

Ok so I have a 05 LLY and when I bought it the steering column would knock and vibrate a little when I took a sharp turn or if the road was slightly bumpy now i dont know if this is contributing to my problem here or not but anyways this morning I was on my way to work and I was stopped at a light and when i went to leave it felt like the front tires were locked up and the back tires were spinning, the roads were wet but nothing that should make you break loose unless you stomped on it. The steering also feels really heavy now and the brake pedel is pretty hard as well theres no warning lights coming up on the dash either. Just wondering what you guys think this could be. Thanks

Might be 2 different things here. The steering column 'knock' is usually a steering intermediate shaft. The wheels 'locking up', you might want to lift the front end and check the wheel bearings for play. It might be bad enough to lock up the caliper. Had one of my vans do that a while back.....not good.
