Then clearly W/M won't help much with that power level. A bigger turbo or twins would be the right fix.

Running a 80/20 mix in the labonte DIS100 he will see a 200-250* EGT drop meaning he will be at 1250-1300 a much better number than 1500*

and as he said above,

and since its a WOT issue something like an I/C upgrade, W/M, or manifold upgrades will be a WAY cheaper upgrade than a turbo or twins

now if this was a normal driving issue then a turbo upgrade would be more practical

Okay, then to keep it cheap I'd say start with upgraded up-pipes. Dropping EGTs with out spraying anything is the best way to go.

Also, for short bursts 1500 degrees is fine. Most racers run 1650 with no problems. I've run 1800 and had no issues.

Holy Cow, you guys really took off with this. Thanks for the all help. As said, I am just looking into it as of right now. Its not a huge issues seeing how its a daily driver and i shouldnt be making a lot of WOT runs like that n the street anyways.

From your point of view, do the larger intercooler tubes make a big enough difference to be worth it?

I put the banks 3" tubes on my 05. It made a slight improvement in EGT and it seemed to hit a lot harder too. Short burst of high EGTs won't kill anything just don't over do it.
