Swap Small Block with a Detroit 4-71
I want to swap the small block in my 79 Chevy K20 with a Detroit 4-71 I found. And I would like to know, what trany should I use, and will I have to make my own motor mounts?

Most likely and defiantly have to reinforce the frame. I would see if the Allison 1000 or maybe a 2000 will work.
