Default new rods?

i want to eventually get some twins for my truck. in doing so i will need head studs. however, i have heard that if you have to put head studs on you need to put newer rods in as well. does anyone know anything about this? what would be a good single turbo which would not require head studs? im a daily driver and hardly ever tows.

head gaskets is usualy an early warning for most trucks.

the 01's have some headgasket issues though to begin with. but ufually if you get ot the point to where you start lifting he heads with stock bolts your almost at the point to where rods start bending.

alot of people run twins on stock trucks with some consertvive tuning. and have no problems

my opinion is if you plan on making 525 and under with a stock charger then stay with stock rods......anything else......rods.....

if you keep it a single stock CP3 with twins it will be fine. If you put dual CP3's on it and twin turbos, its a matter of *when* it blows up.
