Default EFI LIve VS. PPE Hot+2

alright i know the basics i like efi live because you can change pretty much anything but i just read on PPE's site you can put down a tune with 425hp in pure tuning over stock and i obviously know this has to have modded parts on top of this Heads, cams exc... and i have herd that EFI live putting down over 500hp tuning but i want to know what people know about this is it true... just curious

Well they're two totally different things if your looking for just plug and go ppe is a great tuner, but if you wanna do your own tweaking, or want a new hobby EFILive is the way to go, either way you can get big power. I have efilive and love it, as for power anything is possible with EFILive trans and a lift pump 500rwhp is very doable. Also if you dont exactly want to spend the $800 I'm just a town over i could do some tunning for you.
EFILive handsdown!

500RWHP is very doable with a PPE tuner as well. I dynod the PPE standard on my LBZ, and it made 430rwhp..

EFI live is by far the best you can get... no questions asked. But if you dont want to have to write your own tunes, or carry your laptop with you to change them, PPE is the best plug and play programmer for the Duramax.

The 425 tune requires dual cp3s to keep the fuel rail from draining. A lift pump and modified CP3 wil not keep rail presser needed to run that tune. Also all the PPE tunes are rated at the flywheel.
