Well, I got a quote from the GM stealership, and this is what I got: (The first two are for '05-'06 classic body style new tow mirrors)

15904034- $505.76
15904035- $505.76
15712451- $58.87
11588342- $50.74

Looks like the ebay deal ends up being $8 more...I can't believe that they charge that much for some frigging U-bolts and blocks of iron...oi... And the mirrors...$506 each? !

shop those prices. Places like gmpartsdirect are usually cheaper. There's others out there too.

the '06 tow mirrors can be found in some 'for sale' sections of different diesel websites, too.

Excellent, I'll shop around.

Those guys....GM Parts Direct.ca (the Canadian site) will not list any prices until after you give them your credit card number...their catalog lists everything as $0.00 and they will not quote the price until after your order is submitted and confirmed. Is this normal practise?? I'm liking the American site far better as they're straight up about prices and shipping... I might end up buying in the US and picking them up next time I'm down.

US Parts direct site shipped to me father's address, I save $340.83CDN...

Well, I got a response from the guys at the Canadian site, they deal directly with the American site, so every purchase reflects the current exchange rate. The Canadian dollar just took a bad turn down, so it looks like I might not be buying for a while . That sucks. That's why no prices are listed. Ah well, I'll get my truck lifted soon enough.

2" rear blocks and the Cognito leveling kit will have a pretty heavy rake. A 1"-1.5" might be better for the nice rake look. Just have to be careful you don't over do the front and loose the ride quality for the reason you are paying for the Cognito UCA.

That's true. I'm going to lift the front first and see how it looks, then I'll decide how much to do the rear end.

Unfortunately the issues with pricing on GMPartsDirect.ca is not to get you to order without knowing the price. We are using an american catalog and unable to set the pricing to Canadian pricing as the difference in price is not a standard markup across all parts and brands. This unfortunately forced us to make a quote system which allows you to submit an order for a quote which we will price and then send back a request for approval or cancellation should you not like the price. Your Credit card is not required and you can select pickup and this can be changed at any point after you approve the order.

We appologize for the inconvienence but we decided that this would be more accurate and a simple 2 step process. This is also outlined on our main page.

If you have any questions you can email sales@gmpartsdirect.ca at any point for a quote, just be sure to include the VIN.

We hope this will clear things up.

Thank-you
Bill MacDonald

Yes, in my previous post I came back on my words there and figured it out. Thanks a lot for the response, I appreciate it!
I'm still hoping that soon I'll be able to get the parts I'm after, and I'll be ordering through you guys for sure.
