Duramax Headers
We have hard recorded data showing all gains useing the TxChristopher up pipes and headers. It's all spelled out on DP and the diesel spot that was posted previously in post #4. I was going to start a whole thread on this here, just haven't had a chance.
Data shows high hp/torque gains down low (as much as 100 lt/ft torque at 2000 rpm) for the towing guy like me and an overall increase in power up top (15hp/30 lb/ft), all while decreasing EGT's by 100* and actually lowering ECTs by as much as 5* while towing
Not to mention the lack of turbo lag and the overall throttle response is increadible, less tranny downshifts when towing, more available power down low in the towing RPMs....... it goes on and on.
Some say they will crack over time, I don't know, haven't seen any proof of it under normal use conditions. What I do know is the guy who is actually makeing them has been making custom headers for years and I'm sure be knows what he is doing. Some have a bone to pick with the guy, so he will never be right no matter what he does. I do know this, if you want different materials to be used (since you know better than others) bellows instead of slip joints, etc. It can all be done, the price just goes up. These particular type of headers and pipes are for the guy who wants that extra punch, better performance and lower EGTs all without changing programming or having to modify the attaching points (just like a cat back exhaust that requires 'no cuting or drilling'). This is no different than adding a free flowing intake or muffler/cat delete. Remove old parts, go in with the new.

Cool Russel, maybe "the guy that makes them" and TXChristopher can come over and add more. I heard that "the guy that makes them" has quite a few miles with them on his truck with no issues. I hope it works out for them.
Were you in Colorado last week?

I'm going to try and get them on here. Does TxC need any vendor status to talk about his product??
Yep, went to Colorado Spring, CO for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Did a bunch of riding in the area and watch the races up Pikes Peak. Truck and trailer performed flawlessly.

Probably. If I could keep my foot out of it. It's too much fun playing with the boost guage now.

I bet they make a big difference.
Also how about performance coatings? i.e. Jet-Hot, or ceramic.

oh yea, and how much are they? Power gains? EGT#'s?
