Default Rodent damaged wiring

Hey Bombers, just reaching out seeking others who have been told by the dealer that a rodent chewed on a wiring harness. Had a no start, starter just continued to crank until I hit the start button to get it to shut off. Display showed DEF problem, as well as a parking brake issue. Dealer said scanner showed no codes. I was told my engine harness was chewed. Dealer price to replace is $8,000.00. I was told by service tech that the insulation is made of peanut oil. After some research I found out that in fact all auto manufacturers have gone to a Soy, Peanut oil, other natural substance product for wiring, which attracts rodents. My truck is new 2022 2500 Diesel. I believe that if a manufacturer is going to use a rodent attractant as a car part the manufacturer should include it under warrantee. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
