I bought my 2016 Duramax Canyon in September. I wouldn't say that 40 mpg is a realistic number, however. I usually see about 26-29 mpg at the pump, with 60% highway driving. I have also towed my 18ft toy hauler and it tows great for a midsize truck!

 

I'm getting 26 in town and 31 on the hiway
