Default 01 duramax limp mode problem

Alright, i have an 01 duramax that goes into limp mode if u go over 65 and try to go over 2000rpm, just took it to a diesel tech shop, the went out of their capabilities on this truck and costed me 771$ and still no fix, another diesel shop says its the clutch inside the tranny, but yet throws a code for a fuel leak? the previous shop tested everything to do with fuel, tested on the low side but everything was in check and the leak down check came up clear, they say once i found out the fix, or ever to do, to be sure to let them know.. honestly at a dead end with this truck, any help would be great. thanks.

Might look at a fuel pressure issue, I had a BMW 335i that would sometimes go into limp mode on hard acceleration, the hp fuel pump couldn't keep up. BMW "replaced" the pump blaming it for the problem,(actually it was faulty engineering) but with the "new" pump, they detuned it to a noticable degree so it couldn't overrun the pump anymore. Extremly fast car until they did that.
