why is it so hard to get off???
Ive tried with all my muscle and it wont even budge.......this is not normal , ive never had a problem with any other truck....

Because someone put in on too tight. Make sure that the engine has been running at normal operating temp and try it. When you put it back on it just needs to be snug not tight.

If i warm it up itll come off easier? Ill go try that.
ok. gawd I was feeling pretty usless.
Then the oil would be hot wouldnt it?

LOL...YES, the oil will be VERY hot, but you will stand a better chance at getting the plug loose.

Tracy can you check this filter too. its a ph9100 made by fram.. the old one is about 3 inches longer.. thanks in advance..

I got it thanks Tracy that worked great, it had abit of black stuff on the threads,lock tite? maybe....

And whats the best filter i can get up here? I looked in walmart. they had one on special. $24.97.. but reg 23.57....... <<<<something fishy bout that...they carry Fram also

You should be running the 052 filter. BTW- I wouldnt put a FRAM filter on my lawnmower.

but what brand its the o52, we have a lordco and triton here. maybe i can get something there.......should nt the new one look a bit more like the old one. the other one is blue and longer.. Is it the width that matters and not so much the length.......I know its not the color..

052 is the standard for a DMAX. You should be able to find it in most brands or at least cross reference it.

You can get a fumato(spelling?) valve and not have to worry about ever un screwing the bolt again.
