Cool....hopefully that hose can handle oil (or ps fluid).

On the plus side the red hose adds 10hp to your engine

Holy crap the hose failed on me last night,

The hose clamp on the bottom came out and blew power steering fluid all over the underside of my truck.

bad thing was when i found out the hose blew off was right after i did a 130mph run on the west park toll way, im guessing the high rpms drove the pws pump to make enough pressure to blow the hose off.

Kinda sucks cause i tried to change lanes when i turned onto the belt way and noticed that my power steering was out, made me come to the conclusion that when i was pushing 3700+rpms the hose popped off and the whole system got drained in about one minute later, so i had no power steering and no hydro-boost.

So i had to limp my truck to the nearest parking lot with no brakes and no power steering from the beltway going 80mph.

But i managed to fix it in the parking not and refill my pws system cause it was bone dry and steaming when i popped the cap off.

that was an eye opener

Holy crap! That could have ended badly. Glad you are O.K. Get rid of that band-aid fix,and go to the dealer get the right hose.

I replaced the hose today with the OEM hose i purchased from the dealer today. charged me 32 bones but i don't have to worry about loosing my power steering fluid again on the free way, i might not be so lucky next time
