if you get new wheels you will have to transfer the sensors off the valve stems and a new set of valve stems that will accept the sensors

There are actually 2 different types of in tire sensors.. One type is on the valve stem, its a two piece setup that costs about $80 each if they are broken. And when pulling a velve stem, they almost always rip some of the bottom part of the stem off, so they become unuseable.
The other type of Tire Monitor system that GM used on some of the trucks, as a wraparound unit.. It strapped to the outer diameter of the rim. These dont break when you move them from wheel to wheel, but, it makes it where you have to run the same sized rim.
Find out which system you have by dismounting one of the tires from the stock rims, and then you can go from there with what you want to do.

The truck has the stem type sensors, and as stated above most tire shops can handle the switch. I bought another set from a junk yard for my wheels so I could keep the factory wheels in tact, just another option.
EFILive won't do TPMS, EFILive does ECM and TCM and the TPMS is in the BCM. You'll need to see the dealer or someone with a TechII.
