Default 2007.5 LMM Egr Question

So its be quite a while since i was last on the site, Been extremely busy with work.

Anyway i recently decided it was time for a newer truck as my old 6.5 just isn't cutting it anymore (Clutch problems). After many weeks of searching i finally found a Truck that isn't over 200,000 Kms and also isn't a Freaking crew cab.
Its a 2007.5 GMC 2500HD Ext. Cab Short box (Wish it was a long box but i'll Live) With just under 120,000 On it that's all done out and everything checks out.

Now For my Question the truck has a 5" Turbo back on it and i'm trying to figure out if the egr is blocked off or not...Is there a simple way to check that doesn't involve me Pulling it apart?

Going to pickup the truck this Saturday May 24, 2014 Which Lined up Perfectly as my insurance expires on my 98 on the 23!

P.s Its a Freaking rocket ship compared the old 6.5 5 Speed

"rocket ship" i love that. the duramax is no joke for sure.

most blocker plates have a little tab that stick up off of them. google "EGR blocker plate" for pictures.

the blocker plate typically is installed between the EGR and the exhaust line with the gasket being between the exhaust and blocker plate. thus you may see a thin metal plate with a tab on it sandwiched in there
