Default Duramax Troubles

Hey guys im not sure how this works just signed up 2mins ago. Well i have a 2006 6.6L LBZ 4x4. Only up grades i have are: Edge juice module with attitude monitor and turbo bk exhaust. Still under warranty.

My questions are:

1. I have just noticed that my warm up/glow plug indicator light has not been coming on at all. It has been hot as usual here in central texas but i was sure it came on before in the past. It dose sound different at sart, like its having just a lil trouble. I have got no trouble codes on my monitor. So is this normal or is my glow plugs out?

2. I came across this site while doing research on the P1093, P0087 trouble code. Yes i am having the same problem and i know this is a common question but what i noticed is that everyone who asked about it had very modified trucks and lots of upgrades. My truck is a tool not a toy (no offense i would if i could) Its a daily driver and work truck. I would suggestions I have it now getting the fuel filter changed first. I did put my edge on stock and got the same lag effect. I have read some on the PPE fuel valve. Would this be safe in my situation?

Truck has 50,000 miles on it and has had the the upgrades from day one.

Thanks for the help,
Johnnymax

Hey man you were right. It actually just cooled down here a bit and it made a difference. I head to my office about 430 5am and i finally saw the light but noticed during the day it never shows. I still turn the key n sit there for a sec just to be on the safe side. I was getting worried for a bit. Thanks for the reply. How do you like that 07?

The PPE Fuel Valve and Fuel Shim are both great additions to any truck. No matter the mods. The Glow plug light on my LBZ comes on in cold weather here in the Arklahoma area too. It only comes on when needed.

I agree but I'm betting a fuel filter swap will solve the code.
