hey fellas i posted a while back about this and i was wondering if anyone has heard anything else about it... Sooo the story goes I have an 06 CC/SB 6.6 LBZ Duramax bought it just about a year ago from a local dealer and it was traded in from a fella i know...not a truck abuser. It had 50k when i got it and now has right at 70K, anyhow about 4 months ago i was driving it and it sputtered around a bit and appeared to be runnin fine after that but then i realized i had limp mode only 2000 rpm. I took it in and they looked forever and didnt find anything probably just a fluke they said...WRONG!! so it does it again i bring it in and they say o it needs a new ECM, they installed it and said "good as new" again WRONG!! So shortly thereafter she does it again by now im gettin pretty aggravated so they have it for just shy of a week and they comeback saying they moved some stuff around on the wiring harnesses and are fairly positive its fixed.... it ran perfect for just shy of a month and BAM they were WRONG AGAIN!! now it randomly does it and im just tired of havin to bring it in for them to screw with for a week for absolutely no gains. Any help is awesome cuz i like my D-max but shes startin to get to me!

 

what are you doing when the truck goes into limp mode?? Towing, getting on it hard?

are there any codes showing up

 

well it varies really one time ill be pulling a trailer and the next time i might just be cruisin along at 60 mph and 1600 rpm it makes no sense and the codes one time it said a crankshaft positioning sensor but the dingbats at the dealer said that wasnt anything to worry abt...?
