how much are looking for?

for tuning i would recommend EFI Live, much more versatile then bully dog, can also get you more HP too

the stock turbo may be able to take you up to 500 HP but that would be pushing it. the stock 6 speed alison can hold roughly 90 HP over stock before needing to be build up, this should be one of the first things to consider doing when the HP starts going up.

up in the 600+ HP range, you should consider internal parts. the fuel pump (CP3) will also need to be addressed when you start to run out of fuel, this can be anywhere from 400 HP to 500 HP depending on its condition. lift pumps are on of the easiest ways to address this and then installing a modded CP3, or two, next.

of course this is just a short list and doesn't address some of the small things like gauges (ha! just did). just take it one step at a time until you reach your goals

tell us what you want to do with the truck and we can help you get there

where you located.

personally i think: Inglewood Transmission Service in California - 714 870 7300 - Mike Lovrich owner/tech

SC transmission also does one of those transmission swap deals. the shipping sucks though.

you may just want to hold onto it until you start limping it then get it built. if you have the budget i would say go for it and get yourself at least a stage 4 upgrade

i would say my transmission upgrade is one of the best things (other then EFI Live) i did to this truck. it is amazing how much different (better) the truck drives.

EGR delete or block is an excellent idea. if you are going for a new turbo then do the delete then otherwise i would say block it.

for EFI Live, off the top of my head:
Idaho Rob with Adrenaline Truck Performance 208.484.3670
Mark at Danville performance
Nicks from Duramaxtuner.com

for the intake i think it was the LBZ or Kodiak mouthpiece that will fix the problem with the LLY

The PCV reroute is done to keep oil out of the intake track. here is a link that enplanes it well How To: PCV Reroute LLY - Chevy and GMC Duramax Diesel Forum

mouth piece is easy to change. down pipe not so much. you can block the EGR first and install the mouth piece. then down the road if you upgrade the turbo then changing the down pipe (and EGR delete) will be easy to do at that time

haven't personally used them but i have heard good things about em.

the 5 position switch is called a "DSP 5" switch. i installed one on my truck. works great, good for testing stuff when making your own tunes.

you can set it up with a stock tune, tow tune, economy tune, higher HP tune and an all out race tune, and change them with a "flip of a switch"

great stuff them EFI Live guys they are
