Duramax Overheating while pulling a load
hey guys so the is my second problem with this truck that is new to me. its a 2004 chevy duramax 6.6 with a triple dog programmer, airaid intake system, and and a performace pipe. my truck runs great when regular driving but yesterday i had to pull about 10,000 lbs down the road for a ways about half way through the trip my truck began to flash on ipc showing "engine coolant hot" and "engine overheat". i immediately slowed down and checked my fluids and i was fine and the message went away. it only came on again if i tried to run 70 mph. if i ran 60 mph i was ok. my tempurature gauge had recently quit working so i wasnt sure of the true temp. can any1 tell me why it is only overheating while pulling a load?? thanks in advance for ur insight
