Default 05 lly questions

i have a 2005 lly and i bought the truck with a chip in it, is there a way to set it back to stock without flashing the computer, would buying a new programmer or chip(idk if there the same thing or not) would reprogram it with no problems. i like the extra power, plus a little smoke when i lay into it but would like to be able to adjust it for mpg.

anyone have any ideas?

if its got a flash tune in it and you dont have the programmer youll have to take and have ecm reflashed. then you can buy a programmer and install a new tune

i got a stupid question, i never thought of it till now when theres a winter storm brewing here in missouri in my area right now, my trucks and 05 2500hd and i havent looked where the block heater is located? and is it controled by some sort of thermostat or timer or will it hurt it to plug it in all night?

depends on how cold it gets if your truck is equipped with the cord its on pass side either fastened to the positive batt. cable or on top of the frame rail. theres no timer or thermostat most people i kno that use them leave them plugged in over night though.
