Default PPE HOT+2

Anyone out there running it? Pros? Cons? 1-10 settings, does it work as advertised? which setting is best for fuel economy? an extra 425 HP at 600 TQ on the highest setting its rediculous, thats almost 800 HP at 1100 TQ at the tires, FOR REALS?

Other than the obvious transmission rebuild, studs, exhaust and manifolds, intake and manifolds, intercooler and pipes, and turbo MP, what else would i have to mod to handle that kind of fun?

Rated HP for both your truck and the added power for your programmer is rated at the engine.

OK? so i guess it would be more like 700ish HP and 1000ish TQ at the tires, so basically we are spliting hairs. its still more or less, double what im running now. sounds pretty retarded powerful to me.

the hot plus 2 will not get you 700hp with a stock engine, ever, if you run on the highest tune you may make close to 500hp on a stock truck, you need a lot of fuel and air mods, and maybe internal mods like pistons and rods, as well as head studs to even begin to unlock the full potential of the hottest tunes on the hot+2

the MAX you can probably squeese out of a stock LLY is probably 500ish RWHP

you need a lift pump to get to that 500hp range as well, and your trans WILL NOT take it

Ok, thats exactly what i wanted to know. Cause a plug and play extra 400 hp is rediculous. Now everything is coming full circle. next question is when should i start looking at the internals. (ie, pistons, rods) is there a hp point that the the stock internals cant handle? i've always heard "if ur gonna run anything over 5 psi extra boost over stock that you need to reinforce the heads with studs" but when do i start thinking about reinforcing everything else. im sure the block is pretty solid. But to reach my 800 RWHP goal, what should be my biggest concerns (other than studs, trans, exhaust and manifolds, intake and manifolds, intercooler and pipes, and turbo MP)

rods after 550 is pushing it in some cases... Depends on tuning, my buds lb7 was handling 600ish while pulling it but the thing holding him back from more agressive tuning is the rods.

LLYs and LBZs have way stronger rods then LB7s. I have the PPE and i love it! i have a bone stock truck with a k&n and i never run past setting 3. but even that is enough to boil the tires from a stop light with 35s. if you plan on running anything over 90 horse over stock plan on upgrading the tranny.

Yep. you MIGHT hit close to 500wheel HP. Your transmission isnt gonna like it though
