Easy first, put a fuel filter on it and see what happens.

my lly did the same thing as what ur sayin and it ended up my fuel water seperater sensor was screwed up

I had the same problem with my 2004.5 Duramax. Mine was the wiring harness going to the injectors. It has happened twice now. Its a poor design because the wires get hot and then fail. Just my two cents!!

was it the #5 and 7 injector wire harness?

Default C5500 with same issue

Just had a GMC C5500 here in the shop with same issue. Owner had changed filters numerous times. Claimed it fixed the problem each time. Finally brought it in to us and I found it had set codes P0202 and P2149. GM has a bulletin (06-05-04-47C) out on this issue. Injector harness is not properly supported at #2 and #7. Use kit number 98017958 to repair injector wire ends on cylinders #2 and #7. Kit also has two support brackets that gets installed to support the harness at #2 and #7.
