Default how do i get more torque

What is the best way to build torque into a duramax motor? My friends have cummins that have tons of torque stock. I have alot of small things done which have helped i just want more low end power. I was thinking a turbo and 100 hp injectors. What would help the most?

larger turbos make more hp but less tq...no need for larger injectors in a dmax untill the 600hp range, you would need twin cp3s before injectors

their are tables in the ecm that limit torque for both the engine and the trans so the easiest way to get more would be a different tuner...i use/sell EFI Live and do my own tuning

yes efi live is different, yes you can make a tune for more torque, or just for high idle , or just for smoke, or just a lope tune, or a DSP5 tune which gives you 5 selectable on the fly tunes which if you have the CS or CTS attitude you could use it to control the tune selection because edge uses EFI to make their tunes

I really like the on the fly adjustment with my edge with the readouts and gauges does efi have the same set up? Or do u have to use a laptop whenever u wanna change something or see your gauges?

you can keep your edge display with efi live and use it to switch efi dsp tunes

yeah for the cummins it is missing quite a few tables, but nothing that you cant make power with. and the way its set up as well it a little different. definitely not quite like a duramax .

lots of interesting things in the cummins tuning files.

for sure...and i like it alot better than any other tuner for the cummins, the rpm thing is still kinda annoying but they think they have that table found so we will see....untill then i have been using SW9 for a base tune then running my script over the top of it, even tho it replaces all of the tables with my own there is something in the background that i cant see with the efi tables that limits the high rpm fuel, but with SW9 as a base it takes care of it
