Dmax problems!
Hey guys. I am having problems with an 02 2500 chevy with the Dmax. Its all stock as far as I know. It came to the shop smoking like a freight train and skipping. It would smoke bad at idle but the more rpm I gave it the worse it got! I checked the balance rate and the injectors were shot! So I replaced them and droped the tank and draind all the old fuel out and flushed all the fuel lines and replaced the fuel filter with a new one. Got the truck started yesterday.....still smokes and has a skip It dosnt smoke as bad as it did before I replaced the injectors and it seems to be runing better but it still seems to have a skip and it still smokes some at idle and as I give it more rpm it gets worse! I have checked all my connections to see if one is loose somewhere but all seems fine. My computer (AUTO ENGINUITY) want give me any live data at all which leads me to thank a connection problem....but it will do some diagnostics such as glow plug curcuit and a few things. But when it does a diagnostic on other things like trans and engine codes it comes back saying lost communication or ecu malfunction....do I need to replace the ecu on this thing? Are they known for going bad? What about the Injector driver module? Anything that will help will be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!
