Balance rate question

Balance rate question
My truck is a 2002 with 185,000 on it. It has efilive and an airdog II 165.
First set of injectors replaced under warranty in late 2003 at 60,000 miles. I have had it since new so I know everything that's been done to it.
I replaced fuel filters regularly at 10,000 mile intervals.
Question: what are the consequences of waiting until I have to replace the injectors? (smoking at idle or fuel dilution)
With edge j/a all 8 would balance +/- 2.0 and after efi #4 is at 3.8-4.0 at idle and 6.0-6.4 in drive.
The only symptom I am having is slight injector knock and slight puff at startup. No smoke at idle, not burning coolant, no fuel in oil, no p1093/4, normal egts, rail pressure keeps up.

Balance rates are at operating temp, when cold #4 is around 5.5 in park and 7.something in drive.

Yea but the funny thing is i take efilive off and go back to stock and balqnce rates improve slightly. I put on edge j/a and turn it to level 6 and balance rates drop to +/- 1.2 except #4 which is around +2ish.
Even though #4 is out of spec, would there be harm in continuing to drive it and just wait until it starts smoking at idle?
What about all the trucks out there whose owners have never bothered messing with them and never check the balances? If they didnt smoke or put anything into the oil then they wouldnt even know anything was wrong aside from sounding like a 7.3.
