03 allison overheating
went on a 80 mile round trip tonight.all of a sudden at about 30 miles into the drive at 70mph with no load the trans temp went from 180 to almost 300 and i got a hot trans message on gauges.i pulled over and looked under truck and trans fluid was leaking onto ground and was .it looked like it was coming from where trans mates to transfer case and was.the t-case was not hot to the touch.engine was not too hot, coolant good, never had any trans problems.i pulled codes and got po700(internal trans code stored in tcm)..wasnt able to search for tranny codes. i believe...also got p0204(injector 4)...p2146(injector pos volt relay)...pe106 barometric sensor.intake and exhaust are stock and my bully dog tuner was set on tow.i set the tuner to stock on the way home and the trans ran at anout 220 on hwy and light to light.thanks for any help-gary.

no fluid under the truck this morning.fluid level is ok,could have been coming from a overflow or vent?

i still have not pulled the trans codes because i have no way to.got back in town yesterday and crawled under the truck and found that the idler arm has rubbed a groove in the metal that is crimped onto the rubber of one the cooler lines.it does not leak fluid but there is some residual around it.maybe it is introducing air into the system and aerating the fluid?i will replace line and change fluid and give a update.
