Default 01 duramax 190k problems

im looking at a 01 duramax 2500 with 190k miles what are some issues this truck could have at this mileage and if i got it it would be to go to college and back so would it be dependable or would it break down all the time. i know that different trucks have different issues but i just mean in general.

Since it is an 01 it will be an LB7. The major known problem with them is the injectors, but there was a factory redo on them and most have been replaced. It never hurts to check though.

There are other things that are different on them from the later Duramaxes but nothing that is a major problem.

I have a 01 and mine has only 70k on it, and right now i'm replacing injectors that went out and just a month ago replaced the head gaskets. This is another issue chevy had i've learned. This cost me a good amount to fix. Not to scare you. You could be fine just never know. Suggest getting a lift pump if plan on keeping the truck.
