A set of gears won't get rid of the the one wheel burnout issue. Getting a locker or spool will take care of that. I've had good luck with Yukon's Grizzly Locker. For gears USA Standard or Yukon makes some good gears.

yes i know gears wont get rid of the one wheel wonder but i was gonna go to deeper gears for pulling i have a 53" goose neck that i pull and would like to get a little more torque but still be able to do 75mph for highway driving and take it to the track every now and then. and how do ya like driving daily with a locker?

Barely know its there. You can't hear clicking like other lockers. Worked great in the snow going to my favorite fishing spot. Which is 1000ft elevation change in 3 miles of unpaved roads. So far I haven't been able to break it and I beat the crap out getting firewood.

Now since you have the 5 speed allison and want lower gears & still be able cruise at 75. I'd suggest unlocking 6th gear and use a lower set of gears in the axles. You get more torque down low and double over drive on top to maintain reasonable RPMs at 75.

That just opinion.
